Meet Holly, The GR Dietitian
As a Registered Dietitian and health advocate, I have always been passionate about helping others create a balanced and healthy lifestyle. I have personally viewed nutrition through many lenses: as a plant-based eater, an athlete, a parent, a teacher, and, most importantly, a student. I know firsthand that it can be difficult in our modern world to sort through all of the opinions, misinformation, and profit-based plans that are so readily available. But I believe nutrition should be simple, so I am here to advocate for change.
In my work, I translate science-based information into simple terms and practical strategies. I combine that with my professional experience to create customized recommendations that work for you, while providing support and encouragement. My goal is for you to feel informed and empowered to take on your goals, and to find nutrition normalcy and the balance that is right for you!
I’ve been a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) in the greater Grand Rapids, MI area since 2008. I hold Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Dietetics from Western Michigan University, where I also completed my dietetic internship requirements. In addition, I hold two certificates of training from the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics: one in Adult Weight Management, and one in Functional and Integrative Nutrition. I am also working towards my certification in Intuitive Eating.
I currently work in an outpatient setting where I specialize in nutrition optimization for prevention of chronic diseases. I have spent my career working with a variety of clients with different needs in both individual and group settings.
